Downloads do not work inside an in-app browser

The built-in browsers of apps such as WeChat, QQ and some social apps do not let web pages start file downloads, so “Download” appears to do nothing. Diagramate detects this and tells you. The fix:

  1. Tap the “⋯” menu in the top right and choose “Open in browser” (Safari on iPhone, the system browser on Android).
  2. The page restores what you were editing, and downloads work there.

If you would rather stay in the app:

  • use “Copy PNG to clipboard” and paste the image into the chat or document;
  • or take a screenshot of the preview.

Word and PowerPoint files downloaded in a mobile browser end up in the Files app (iPhone) or the Downloads folder (Android).
