The free part
Pasting, rendering, PNG / SVG / PDF / Word / PowerPoint export, the 8 free themes (6 classic, hand-drawn “Paper”, modern “Gradient”), error messages and share links are free, need no sign-in and add no watermark. PNG / SVG / PDF / Word / PowerPoint / draw.io export and copying an image need no sign-in and add no watermark, and from 2026-10-25 free use allows 5 exports every 24 hours (a rolling window: each export comes back 24 hours after it was made; before this there was no cap, and these terms said the features would not become paid — this change revises that commitment). Pro has no export limit. The other themes and the sketch tweaks (sloppiness, fill) are Pro features from 2026-10-14: anyone can pick and preview them; exporting or sharing them needs Pro, or a one-click switch to a free theme exports as usual.
Accounts and cloud save
One phone number, one account. On diagramate.cn the phone number is the account's primary credential: whichever account a phone number belongs to is the account a linked WeChat or email opens. If you sign in with WeChat and that phone number already has an account, WeChat is linked to the existing account rather than creating a second one. An account can carry several sign-in methods and you can unlink them, but at least one must remain or you would be locked out. On diagramate.com the email address plays that role, and the two sites' accounts are separate.
Signing in exists only to save diagrams to the cloud. What you save stays yours. We receive it only when you actively save, use it only to provide cloud save and cross-device access, and never use it to train models or analyse your diagrams. Deleted diagrams go to the trash and are physically removed after 30 days; signing out does not delete cloud content. Details: Accounts and cloud save.
Paid services
- Pro includes all 17 themes and sketch tweaks, a monthly AI fix / tidy / edit allowance, 1,000 cloud diagrams with 30-day version history, ×4 ultra-HD export, custom theme colors and batch export. Billing differs by site:
- diagramate.com: a monthly or yearly subscription in USD that renews automatically at the end of every period until you cancel. Cancel anytime from “Manage subscription” on your account page — the same entry is in the editor's Cloud dialog — and you are not charged again; Pro stays available until the period you already paid for ends, after which the account returns to the Free plan and your cloud diagrams follow the Free rules (nothing is deleted). Checkout, receipts and the name shown on your card statement are handled by Paddle, our payment provider acting as Merchant of Record; cards and PayPal are accepted, and this is identified on the checkout page before you pay.
- diagramate.cn: a one-time purchase of a fixed period (31 or 365 days) in CNY that does not renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel — buying again adds the new period on top of whatever time is left. Payment goes through WeChat Pay or Alipay and the receipt is in your own WeChat / Alipay statement.
- The AI credit pack was discontinued on 2026-09-12 and is no longer sold; credits bought before then stay valid and never expire.
- Refund rules and how to ask: Refund Policy. Refunds on the domestic channels are issued manually by us — email support@diagramate.com.
- Prices may change; changes only affect future purchases and renewals and are announced on the pricing page beforehand.
AI features
AI fix / tidy / edit sends your current code to our standard engine once; it is not stored or used for training. AI output can be wrong, so check it before adopting.
This site uses no image or video generation model of any kind. The AI reads text code and returns text code; every diagram you see is drawn from that code by the Mermaid rendering engine in your browser, not generated by a model. What we collect and how long we keep it is in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to distribute unlawful content, attack the service, circumvent usage limits or interfere with other users. We may restrict or terminate the cloud and paid features of accounts that do; paid amounts are handled under the refund policy.
Disclaimer and changes
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it available but are not liable for indirect losses from outages or data loss, so always keep local copies of your files. Changes to these terms update the date on this page; material changes are announced on the pricing page or inside the editor.
